Poster Design

Poster Design

Long before digital advertising, posters were one of the most immediate and expressive forms of visual communication. Artists and designers combined bold typography, illustration, color and composition to promote exhibitions, performances, travel, products, political ideas and public campaigns.

This collection brings together distinctive poster designs from the late 19th and 20th centuries, ranging from decorative Art Nouveau graphics and theatrical advertising to modernist compositions, propaganda and commercial design. Despite their very different purposes, the works share a strong sense of visual identity and an ability to communicate instantly.

Still Edition’s Poster Design collection focuses on archival graphics that remain visually striking beyond their original context — bold images, unusual typography and compositions that still feel remarkably modern today.
