Terms of service
Terms of Service
1. Scope
These Terms of Service apply to all purchases made through the online store operated under the name Still Edition at:
Still Edition
Address: Detmolder Straße 5, 10715 Berlin, Germany
Email: support@stilledition.com
These Terms apply to customers acting as consumers as well as customers acting in the course of a business, unless a provision specifically states otherwise.
A consumer is a natural person who enters into a transaction mainly for purposes outside their trade, business or profession.
Any conflicting terms submitted by a business customer shall apply only if expressly accepted by us in writing.
2. Products
Still Edition sells art prints and related products, including framed and unframed prints.
Products are generally produced after an order is placed. Unless a product is expressly described as personalised or made according to an individual customer specification, production after purchase alone does not necessarily remove a consumer’s statutory right of withdrawal.
Product images are intended to present the artwork and product as accurately as reasonably possible. However:
- colours may vary depending on the customer’s screen settings
- printed colours may differ slightly from on-screen colours
- paper, frame and material surfaces may affect contrast and colour appearance
- product proportions may vary between available sizes
- room images and mock-ups may not show exact physical scale
Minor differences of this kind do not constitute a defect where the delivered product otherwise corresponds to its description.
3. Formation of the Contract
The presentation of products in the online store does not constitute a legally binding offer. It is an invitation to place an order.
By clicking the final order button, such as “Pay now,” “Buy now” or an equivalent clearly labelled button, the customer submits a binding offer to purchase the products in the cart.
Before submitting the order, the customer can review and correct the entered information using the checkout functions.
After the order is submitted, the customer receives an automated order confirmation by email. This confirms receipt of the order but does not necessarily constitute acceptance of the contract.
The purchase contract is concluded when we:
- send a separate order or shipping confirmation;
- begin production of the ordered goods;
- dispatch the goods; or
- expressly accept the order by another clear communication,
whichever occurs first.
We may refuse or cancel an order before acceptance where, for example:
- payment authorisation fails;
- pricing or product information contains an obvious error;
- the product is unavailable;
- the order appears fraudulent or abusive;
- delivery to the supplied address is not possible; or
- the order would violate applicable law.
If payment has already been collected for an order that we do not accept, the amount will be refunded.
4. Prices and Payment
All prices shown in the store are stated in the displayed currency.
Where legally required, prices include applicable value-added tax. Delivery charges and other costs are displayed separately before the customer submits the order.
The customer must pay using one of the payment methods offered during checkout.
Available payment methods may be provided by third-party payment services. Their additional terms and privacy policies may apply.
Payment is due when the order is submitted unless another payment arrangement is expressly offered.
We reserve the right to correct obvious pricing errors before accepting an order. If an incorrect price affects an order already placed, we will contact the customer and offer the choice of confirming the order at the correct price or cancelling it for a full refund.
5. Production and Delivery
Products may be printed, framed, packaged and dispatched by specialised production and fulfilment partners on behalf of Still Edition.
Estimated production and delivery times shown in the store are estimates and not guaranteed delivery dates unless expressly stated otherwise.
Delivery times may be affected by:
- production capacity
- public holidays
- carrier delays
- customs procedures
- adverse weather
- incorrect address information
- events outside our reasonable control
The customer is responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.
Where an order contains multiple items, the products may be produced at different facilities and delivered in separate parcels.
Risk of accidental loss or damage generally passes to a consumer when the customer, or a person nominated by the customer, physically receives the goods. Mandatory consumer law remains unaffected.
Detailed delivery information is available in our Shipping Policy.
6. Availability
All orders are subject to availability.
If an ordered product becomes unavailable after the order has been placed, we will notify the customer without undue delay and refund any affected payment.
We may change or discontinue products, formats, materials, frame options and prices at any time. Changes do not affect contracts that have already been concluded.
7. Right of Withdrawal
Consumers may have a statutory right to withdraw from an online purchase.
For consumers in the European Union, distance purchases generally carry a 14-day right of withdrawal beginning upon delivery, subject to statutory exceptions.
Full information about:
- the withdrawal period
- how to exercise the right
- return shipping costs
- exclusions
- refund processing
- the model withdrawal form
is provided in our Return and Refund Policy and statutory withdrawal information.
Personalised goods or goods made according to an individual customer specification may be excluded from the statutory right of withdrawal where the legal requirements for that exception are met.
Nothing in these Terms limits a mandatory statutory withdrawal right.
8. Returns and Refunds
Returns must be handled in accordance with our Return and Refund Policy.
Customers must contact us before returning a product so that we can provide the correct instructions and return address.
Products must not be sent directly to a production partner unless we expressly instruct the customer to do so.
Approved refunds are made using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
9. Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Products
Customers should inspect products promptly after delivery.
If a product arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, the customer should contact us at support@stilledition.com and provide:
- the order number
- a description of the problem
- photographs of the full product
- close-up photographs of the issue
- photographs of the packaging where relevant
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, we may provide:
- a replacement
- repair
- a price reduction
- a partial refund
- a full refund
Consumer rights relating to defective or non-conforming goods remain unaffected. Goods purchased by EU consumers are subject to a minimum two-year legal guarantee, and defective goods may need to be repaired or replaced at no cost, with further remedies available where that is not possible.
10. Frames and Glass or Glazing Materials
Framed prints may use glass, acrylic glazing or another transparent protective material, as stated in the product description.
Small variations in wood grain, tone and texture may occur in natural wooden frames and are not necessarily defects.
Customers must follow any handling and mounting instructions supplied with framed products.
Still Edition is not responsible for damage caused by:
- incorrect installation
- unsuitable fixings
- unstable walls
- misuse
- impact after delivery
- exposure to excessive moisture, heat or direct sunlight
This exclusion does not apply where liability cannot legally be excluded.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on the website, including:
- artwork
- photographs
- product images
- videos
- text
- logos
- graphics
- layout
- branding
- design elements

Purchasing a physical print does not transfer copyright or any other intellectual-property rights in the artwork.
Customers may not, without prior written permission:
- reproduce an artwork
- scan or digitally copy a print
- create derivative products
- resell reproductions
- use product images commercially
- remove copyright notices
- use artwork for training, generating or developing artificial-intelligence systems
- distribute artwork digitally
- mint or issue the artwork as an NFT or similar digital asset
A customer may resell the original physical item they lawfully purchased, subject to applicable law, but may not make or sell copies.

Customers may use the website only for lawful personal or business purchasing purposes.
Users must not:
- interfere with the security or operation of the website
- attempt unauthorised access to accounts or systems
- upload malicious code
- scrape or systematically extract website content
- use automated systems to place abusive or fraudulent orders
- impersonate another person
- provide false payment or delivery details
- violate intellectual-property rights
- use the website for unlawful activity
We may restrict access, cancel orders or suspend accounts where reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, abuse, security risks or legal violations.
13. Customer Accounts
Where customer accounts are available, customers are responsible for:
- keeping login details confidential
- providing accurate account information
- notifying us promptly of suspected unauthorised access
We may suspend or close an account if it is used fraudulently, unlawfully or in material breach of these Terms.
Closing an account does not affect obligations arising from existing orders.
14. Reviews and User-Submitted Content
If customers submit reviews, photographs, comments or other content, they confirm that:
- they own the content or have permission to submit it
- the content does not infringe third-party rights
- the content is not unlawful, deceptive, defamatory or abusive
- the content does not contain malicious code or unauthorised advertising
By submitting content, the customer grants Still Edition a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, adapt and display that content for operating and promoting the store, unless a narrower permission is stated at the point of submission.
We may remove submitted content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
15. Third-Party Services and Links
The website may use or link to third-party services, including:
- Shopify
- payment processors
- fulfilment providers
- shipping carriers
- analytics providers
- social-media platforms
We are not responsible for third-party websites or services that are outside our control.
Use of those services may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies.
16. Discount Codes and Promotions
Discount codes:
- must be entered before checkout is completed
- cannot normally be applied retrospectively
- may be limited to particular products, dates, regions or customers
- may not be combined unless expressly stated
- have no cash value
- may be withdrawn or corrected where issued or used in error
We may cancel a discount or promotional order where there is clear abuse, fraud or a technical pricing error.
Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
17. Gift Cards
Where gift cards are offered:
- they may be used only through the Still Edition store
- they cannot be exchanged for cash except where required by law
- lost or stolen gift cards may not be replaceable
- any expiration rules will be stated at the time of purchase
Gift cards are subject to mandatory applicable law.
18. Limitation of Liability
Still Edition is liable without limitation for:
- intent and gross negligence
- injury to life, body or health
- fraudulently concealed defects
- liability under mandatory product-liability law
- any liability that cannot legally be excluded
For ordinary negligence, we are liable only where we breach a material contractual obligation whose performance is necessary for proper fulfilment of the contract and on which the customer may normally rely.
In that case, liability is limited to damage that was foreseeable and typical when the contract was concluded.
These limitations do not restrict mandatory consumer rights or statutory claims relating to defective goods.
19. Events Outside Our Control
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including:
- natural disasters
- war
- civil unrest
- government action
- epidemics
- strikes
- carrier disruption
- customs delays
- internet or infrastructure failure
- shortages affecting production materials
We will take reasonable steps to reduce the impact and resume performance.
Mandatory consumer remedies remain unaffected.
20. Privacy
Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law.
Customers should review the Privacy Policy before placing an order.
21. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms where necessary, for example because of:
- legal changes
- changes to our products
- changes to payment or delivery processes
- changes to the website
The version in effect when an order is placed applies to that order.
The current version will be published on the website together with its effective date.
22. Governing Law
These Terms and contracts entered into through the store are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
For consumers, this choice of law does not remove mandatory protections available under the law of the country in which the consumer normally resides.
23. Jurisdiction
Where the customer is a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the courts at Berlin, Germany shall have jurisdiction, where legally permitted.
For consumers, the statutory rules on jurisdiction apply.
24. Alternative Dispute Resolution
Consumers may have access to an approved consumer dispute-resolution body.
State here whether Still Edition is willing or legally required to participate:
We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
25. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain unaffected.
The invalid provision will be replaced by the applicable statutory rule.
