Acalypha villosa — Nikolaus Joseph von Jacquin
This late 18th-century botanical study depicts Acalypha villosa through an elegant arrangement of branching stems, broad serrated foliage, and exceptionally delicate flowering structures. Leaves range from golden ochre and muted olive to deeper brown-green, with dark branching veins giving each form remarkable definition.
Two principal specimens create a balanced composition, accompanied by a single isolated leaf that highlights the plant's rounded form, toothed margin, and pronounced venation. Warm reddish stems and fine thread-like flower clusters provide subtle contrast against the softly aged cream ground.
