Botanical Observations — Plate VIII is an early nineteenth-century scientific illustration from Romanus Adolph Hedwig's Observationum botanicarum fasciculus primus, published in Leipzig in 1802. An irregular dark fragment and a rounded orange cellular form dominate the upper portion, while smaller studies below examine circular, cup-like, and elongated structures at a finer scale.
