This eighteenth-century botanical plate presents Capparis cynophallophora through a flowering branch accompanied by separate studies of its elongated fruit and internal structure. Muted olive-green leaves follow the slender central stem, each carefully articulated with dark veins and restrained tonal variation.

Above the foliage, an intricate flower expands into a wide spray of extremely fine filaments tipped with golden-yellow anthers. A long curved fruit occupies the right side of the composition, while a small cross-sectional botanical detail appears below. The surrounding warm cream ground gives each element unusual clarity and preserves the quiet character of the historical plate.
