Cerianthus — Sea Anemones of the Gulf of Naples

Cerianthus presents several remarkable sea anemone forms among a layered rocky seabed. Two large specimens dominate the composition, their exceptionally long tentacles spreading outward in loose, rhythmic arcs, while smaller green, orange, and cream organisms appear between the surrounding rocks.

A tall pink form anchors the upper half of the plate, crowned by reddish-brown tentacles and emerging from an elongated textured structure. Below, a warm orange specimen opens into a broad display of pale striped tentacles. Ochre rocks, faded greens, soft pinks, and warm browns create a restrained setting for these intricate marine forms.
