Edwardsia & Cerianthus presents sea anemones in a sequence of carefully separated anatomical and zoological studies. Slender orange, cream, red, and brown specimens appear against deep black fields, allowing their varied bodies and delicate crowns of tentacles to emerge with remarkable clarity.
The plate is divided into two sections. Numerous smaller numbered figures occupy the upper panel, while three larger specimens dominate the lower composition above a finely rendered seabed.
