The Eagle Map of the United States is an unusual 1833 pictorial map that transforms the geography of the United States into the body of an American eagle. The bird stretches across the mapped territory, its wings extending westward, its head rising in the northeast, and its talons reaching through Florida.

State boundaries, rivers, settlements, mountain ranges, and other geographic details remain visible beneath the eagle. Warm cream and ochre paper tones are joined by restrained brown, red, and blue-green coloring, giving the map a strong nineteenth-century character.
