Parrots of the World — Plate 10
€39,94
This richly colored 19th-century natural-history plate gathers seven parrots into a dense vertical composition of branching wood and softly rendered foliage. Each bird has a distinct profile and palette, ranging from vivid greens and golden yellows to deep blue, crimson, rust, and charcoal.
Three smaller parrots occupy the upper branches, while the lower composition is anchored by a remarkable central bird with a broad fan-like arrangement of red and blue feathers around its head. Surrounding specimens introduce contrasting plumage, postures, beaks, and feather patterns.
