This eighteenth-century botanical plate presents Rondeletia odorata as a slender flowering branch surrounded by an expansive cream ground. A compact cluster of vivid red flowers crowns the specimen, each bloom marked by a warm yellow-orange center, while rounded olive and ochre leaves gather along the reddish-brown stem.
