The Common Pike-Perch presents an elongated freshwater fish in profile against a delicately rendered view of the Falls of Montmorenci. Its pointed head, open mouth, prominent eye, patterned scales, and tall spiny dorsal fin create a precise zoological study with a strong horizontal presence.
