The New Hat Man presents an eccentric male figure dominated by an exceptionally tall top hat. His oversized head, narrowed eyes, broad mouth, projecting ears, compact torso, and simplified arms create an almost mechanical appearance. Fine gray and black shading gives the character dimension while leaving much of the surrounding paper open and quiet.
